Get Facebook or Get Eaten.

HOW IS FACEBOOK CHANGING OUR LIVES?
Facebook has defiantly changed our lives, “whether for better or worse”, only time will tell. What we do know is that there is no getting away from it, so like an unwanted house guest we might as well make the most of it.
Facebook is king! There’s no denying that Facebook is now a leading technology company across the board when it comes to product development, business management and a host of other areas right up to public relations, with almost one billion users logging on each day worldwide. That equates to an active-user increase of 13% in the past year.
MILLENNIAL CPG
Each generation looks for something different. What was once considered hip to Baby Boomers and Generation Xers is not so exciting for Millennials. This change in consumer expectations has provided an ideal opportunity for marketers to interact with younger consumers looking for CPG products (consumer packaged goods). A large percentage of Millennials don’t believe they have the time to spend to physically visit shops to make purchases, so hello Facebook!
Millennials are not only using Facebook to connect with other users to discuss new products but also to check out the ads for what’s new and trending, therefore giving marketers access to a huge data base of potential customers. Statistics show that during the past 12 months Millennials, as opposed to baby boomers, were 3 times more likely to shop online for purchases of grocery, candies and other foodstuffs.
FACEBOOK AND THE FUTURE
With almost 50% of shopping purchases involving some type of electronic action marketers are becoming more increasing aware that they need to adapt campaigns to reach digital channels which more and more people are using.
No matter how you look at it Millennials and Facebook have a simpatico relationship that will last well into the future. Today is just the beginning. Millennials are not the type to marry young and start an immediate family. They are more inclined to be more to be career driven and this is where Facebook really comes to the fore by allowing them to integrate with millions of users and discover what’s new in the marketplace without compromising their valuable time. Their enthusiasm for everything mobile is certain to shift from discovery to purchase very quickly.

FACEBOOK DEMOGRAPHICS FOR BUSINESS.
Facebook went public in 2012 and at that time it was the largest technology and internet company in history with more than $104 million in market capitalization. It has since increased in value to more than $200 billion.
With almost one billion users worldwide Facebook is in the enviable position of being able to reach more potential customers than any other carrier service in the foreseeable future. With this ability it stands to reason that it would be one of the most cost effective forms of advertising available in today’s marketplace.
PARTNERING UP WITH FACEBOOK
I think that it would safe to say that we could see some type of partnership with other technology companies in the not so distant future. Mark Zuckerberg himself has already expressed his support for Chat Bots which would allow people to talk to machines that can intelligently respond to requests.
Zuckerberg is not alone in predicting that AI (artificial Intelligence) will play an important part in Facebooks future, as this is also supported by other top executives such as Tesla’s Elon Musk. With the future in the hands of people like this I think we can all sleep better knowing that our beloved Facebook is heading for a very bright future.
